About This Tool
Eight kilobytes is favicon territory - browser tabs, chat avatars, notification badges, and embedded icons where every byte is scrutinized. Most images will never reach 8KB at full size, so this tool pairs heavy compression with small dimensions to land tiny graphics that stay recognizable. Everything runs in your browser with a live preview of the final miniature.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an 8KB image actually good for?
Favicons, small avatars, badges, and icons displayed under 64 pixels. At those sizes an 8KB file is visually identical to the original.
Can a photo compress to 8KB?
Only at very small dimensions - a 64x64 thumbnail, for example. Detailed full-size photos cannot reach 8KB; shrink the pixel size first, then compress.
How is 8KB different from the 10KB target?
It demands even smaller dimensions or flatter graphics. If 8KB proves impossible for your image, the 10KB target usually succeeds with the same file.
